Playful, not financial
Smiles, streaks, spins, scratch cards, badges, town totals and leaderboard positions have no cash value, do not represent donations or verified impact, and do not improve anyone's chance of receiving help. We may remove abusive, automated or manipulated activity.
Public names
Supporter and player leaderboards are opt-in and use a chosen nickname or first name. We do not publish exact payment amounts. Do not use another person's identity, contact information, offensive wording or advertising as a nickname.
Good news from elsewhere
The Good News page links to reporting by third-party publishers. Those events are not Happiness Fund work. Headlines and facts remain attributable to the named source; short summaries are generated automatically and may occasionally be wrong. Follow the source link for the original report and contact us to flag an error or rights concern.
AI explanations
AI-generated smiles explanations are entertainment, not evidence of community impact, advice or a factual measurement. We label them and do not intentionally send private nominations, member records or unpublished story material to the model.
